Sculptra at Vybrance Medaesthetics in Clarkston WA
Trigger The Body’s Natural
Collagen-Making Process

We all know that a youthful appearance is the epitome of beauty standards. Luckily, Sculptra is the gold standard in obtaining and maintaining a youthful, vibrant glow!

Sculptra at Vybrance MedAesthetics stands out from other injectable treatments because it’s been designed to trigger the body’s natural collagen-making process. Whereas other injectables focus on temporarily improving wrinkles, Sculptra actually stimulates your body to restore and replenish its own youthful collagen and elastin. Results develop gradually, and the stimulation process continues for up to two years following injection.

How Does Sculptra Work?

When Sculptra is injected into areas of the face that have begun to look saggy or hollow due to loss of collagen, it triggers the body’s natural collagen-producing process with its active ingredient (poly-L-lactic acid). Over the course of several months, this brand-new collagen will make the skin look plumper and more youthful.

Why Choose Sculptra Over Dermal Fillers?

Whereas hyaluronic acid dermal fillers only fill in lines and wrinkles temporarily, Sculptra provides volume to the face in a longer-lasting way by stimulating collagen within the skin. Dermal fillers don’t do this extra step.

This is excellent news for those whose face has begun to look tired or aged due to hollows and sunken areas. In addition, some people have less facial fat than others, which can cause one to look much older than they are.

As the skin weakens and fat pads start to shrink, the face can start to look older. Sculptra is excellent for restoring facial volume in a gentle and natural-looking way.

What To Expect
With Sculptra

Sculptra is an injectable treatment much like dermal filler. On the day of your appointment, your skin will be cleansed and prepped, and a topical anesthetic may be administered. Sculptra is administered under the skin, and is pre-mixed with lidocaine for even more patient comfort. Treatment time will be approximately 30 - 60 minutes, and patients may resume their regular day afterwards.

Sculptra is injected in a series to allow your body to absorb the poly-l-lactic acid and begin forming collagen. At Vybrance MedAesthetics, we prefer to space out the treatments 6 to 8 weeks apart. Most patients will need two sessions; however, some patients with more volume loss may need more sessions.

We recommend a session every 1 to 2 years for maintenance.

Areas We Can Rejuvenate With Sculptra
Cheeks + Temples

As we age, we lose volume in certain areas resulting in distortions to the balance and symmetry found in a youthful face. Maintain facial harmony and restore a youthful facial shape by adding volume and fullness to sunken cheeks and temples with Sculptra.

Neck Lift

If you prefer a less-invasive cosmetic procedure to a neck lift, Sculptra provides long-lasting skin tightening and firms the skin by creating more collagen. Sculptra can also be used to prevent future wrinkles and creases from forming on your chest, neck, and décolletage.

Smile Lines

Treat the structural effects of aging in the lower face by filling and lifting deep folds and wrinkles around the mouth. Sculptra can fill and smooth the nasolabial folds, or “smile lines”, which is the area between the nose and mouth, the marionette lines around the mouth, and dimpling of the chin.

Jawline

Lift a sagging jawline and improve mild jowling with Sculptra. Creating definition and lift can lessen the appearance of loose skin around the jaw and neck area. Treating this area in conjunction with the mid-face and cheeks can provide an effective and natural looking lift to the face, as well as a harmonious transition between areas of the face.

  • How Does Botox Work?
BOTOX was developed to target the cause of fine lines and wrinkling. Over time, facial expressions such as squinting, smiling or frowning cause the facial skin to contract, over and over. BOTOX is injected into the muscles in constant motion, causing them to relax. With reduced muscle activity you will see smoother skin and fewer facial lines.
  • When Should You Start Getting Botox?
There is no set age to start getting BOTOX treatments. If you are in your mid-20s, you might begin to see superficial lines around your eyes. Or maybe a bit later in life, you notice wrinkling, deeper creases created by facial motions, called “dynamic wrinkles.” Men and women of all ages can benefit from BOTOX injections.
  • Does Botox treatment hurt?
BOTOX is injected using a tiny needle, and most patients do not find the injections painful. You may feel a small pinch from the needle at the injection site.
  • When will I see results?
You should begin to see results in a few days after your BOTOX injections. Optimal results are achieved at two weeks.
  • How long do wrinkle relaxers last?
Depending on how well you care for your skin, neurotoxin injections can last in the range of three to five months before requiring retreatment.
  • How much Botox will I need?
This varies depending on several factors. These are the most common dosage range per area being treated. 11 Lines: 20-30 Units Forehead Lines: 12-24 units Crows Feet: 9-15 units each eye Lip Flip: 4-8 units Chin Dimpling: 6-12 units
  • Can I get Botox while pregnant or breastfeeding? (This includes all neuromodulators)
It is not recommended to receive any BOTOX treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding. The effects of the treatment are local but pregnant women must be more careful than others due to the growing baby. During this time alternative treatments such as mild facial treatments can keep your skin fresh and glowing.
  • Which is better: Botox or Fillers?
While both Botox and dermal fillers like Restylane are long-lasting treatments that can be used to reduce wrinkles, they each take slightly different approaches, treat slightly different problems, and are used in different areas of the face. Botox relaxes muscles so they don't contract and form creases, while dermal fillers fill in or plump up areas that have lost volume or smoothness.
