What Is
SkinPen
Microneedling?
Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), microneedling rejuvenates your skin quality by engaging your own immune system to regenerate and restore from within. Microneedling is performed with a hand-held device which has a series of ultra-fine needles on the surface. As the device is passed over the surface of your skin, the needles create a series of microscopic channels. Your body responds by producing fresh collagen and elastin, the building blocks of healthy, radiant skin. This enhanced collagen production continues for up to eight weeks following treatment.
Microneedling + PRF
PRF is liquid gold derived from your own blood.
It provides an extreme amount of useful growth factors to speed up healing and boost collagen production.
The combination of microneedling and topically applied PRF, the results are less redness, social downtime, faster healing process, increase results and a larger increase in collagen production
for up to one week post treatment.

What To Expect
With SkinPen Microneedling
Microneedling in Clarkston has become very popular in addressing textural issues of the skin. The appearance of acne scars, fine lines, body scars, and stretch marks can all be improved with treatment.
We also use microneedling to introduce some of our peels and products to a deeper layer of the skin. Think of this like aerating your lawn before you lay down fertilizer. While preparation is not a necessity, it paves the way for a deeper treatment and faster healing process.
Things To Know Before Your Treatment
-
We recommend coming in for a complimentary consultation to discuss your customized treatment plan.
-
You’ll want to minimize sun exposure for the first week after treatment, so don’t have this treatment right before a trip to the beach or any extensive sun exposure!
-
If you are getting ready for a big event, such as a wedding, we recommend starting treatments 3 months prior to the event so the results are achieved at the perfect time for the big reveal.
-
If you have current acne, we typically recommend waiting for a microneedle treatment and instead will decongest the skin with facials, a home skincare regimen, and chemical peels.
The Procedure
Most patients tell us that they experience little discomfort undergoing microneedling at Vybrance MedAesthetics -- our highly trained specialists are experts at administering comfortable and effective treatments. To begin, we will apply a topical anesthetic, so your treatment is comfortable. We will then apply the device, equipped with a set of tiny needles to gently puncture the skin in the area being treated, stimulating your body’s natural healing response, triggering regeneration from within. Once we’ve completed treatment, we will apply skin-nourishing serums such as vitamin C and hyaluronic acid to help enhance your skin quality.
The Recovery
After your microneedling procedure, there is minimal downtime and you are free to resume your normal daily routine. You may appear a little pink or red, but this should subside after 24-48 hours.
It is imperative, however, that you stay out of the sun and avoid retinoids to protect your skin and ensure the best outcome. The results of microneedling are gradual and progressive, as the treatment relies on your body’s natural healing process.
For exceptional results in skin regeneration and collagen production, you may need to undergo a series of microneedling treatments. The results of this treatment are remarkable, as nothing looks fresher and more natural than collagen-rich skin!

How Does Botox Work?BOTOX was developed to target the cause of fine lines and wrinkling. Over time, facial expressions such as squinting, smiling or frowning cause the facial skin to contract, over and over. BOTOX is injected into the muscles in constant motion, causing them to relax. With reduced muscle activity you will see smoother skin and fewer facial lines.
-
When Should You Start Getting Botox? There is no set age to start getting BOTOX treatments. If you are in your mid-20s, you might begin to see superficial lines around your eyes. Or maybe a bit later in life, you notice wrinkling, deeper creases created by facial motions, called “dynamic wrinkles.” Men and women of all ages can benefit from BOTOX injections.
-
Does Botox treatment hurt?BOTOX is injected using a tiny needle, and most patients do not find the injections painful. You may feel a small pinch from the needle at the injection site.
-
When will I see results? You should begin to see results in a few days after your BOTOX injections. Optimal results are achieved at two weeks.
-
How long do wrinkle relaxers last?Depending on how well you care for your skin, neurotoxin injections can last in the range of three to five months before requiring retreatment.
-
How much Botox will I need? This varies depending on several factors. These are the most common dosage range per area being treated. 11 Lines: 20-30 Units Forehead Lines: 12-24 units Crows Feet: 9-15 units each eye Lip Flip: 4-8 units Chin Dimpling: 6-12 units
-
Can I get Botox while pregnant or breastfeeding? (This includes all neuromodulators)It is not recommended to receive any BOTOX treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding. The effects of the treatment are local but pregnant women must be more careful than others due to the growing baby. During this time alternative treatments such as mild facial treatments can keep your skin fresh and glowing.

Which is better: Botox or Fillers? While both Botox and dermal fillers like Restylane are long-lasting treatments that can be used to reduce wrinkles, they each take slightly different approaches, treat slightly different problems, and are used in different areas of the face. Botox relaxes muscles so they don't contract and form creases, while dermal fillers fill in or plump up areas that have lost volume or smoothness.
